Programmable automation controllers (PACs) from TECO will be used to validate I-MECH building blocks related to smart sensing, high speed vision, self-commissioning and vibration control. These building blocks will be implemented on a TECO PAC compatible with PLCopen Motion Control. The controller will be used to control a cartesian robotic manipulator equipped with a gripping effector and a spindle to demonstrate both pick-and-place and machining processes.
