Embedded World is the most popular European exhibition for companies operating in the embedded hardware and software markets. The fair is organized every year in the Nuremberg city (Germany).
This year, I-MECH partner EVI has shown at its own booth a demo resulting from the activity carried out in the I-MECH project. In particular, EVI has shown the innovative hypervisor-based EtherCAT master developed within Task 4.7. The demo consisted in the ERIKA Enterprise RTOS (http://www.erika-enterprise.com) running on top of the Xen hypervisor alongside the Linux OS and controlling a Beckhoff EtherCAT slave. The hardware platform was an Advantech ARK-3520.
