A high performance servo amplifier is one of the building blocks that is being developed within the frame of I-MECH project. The servo amplifier will be ultra-compact, super smart and high-powered. Thanks to its small size and rugged design it can be mounted virtually anywhere: collaborative robot joints, wearable robots, unmanned ground or aerial vehicles as well as inside motors. The amplifier can operate as an intelligent BLDC motor controller as well as a high performance current amplifier. The servo drive features advanced transistor technology combined with the highest power density efficiency and provides linear amplifier performance.
The servo amplifier has been designed in the frame of I-MECH project by I-MECH partner Ingenia Motion Control. The prototype was presented at the SPS IPC 2018 show. Sioux CCM and Nexperia will validate the servo amplifier in their pilot systems, respectively a “Substrate Carrier for industrial inkjet applications” and a 12" wafer stage.
